the idea, in case you never read Anna Sewell's (1820-1878) Black Beauty, is to run a pasture for old horses, where they can feed and feel free in peace. i just want to see these bikes live and really don't care a toss (literally) for the owners who ride them. am just a hostler who recognises his like.

yes, the two Premier or Fiat cars you see also belong to akshay - he also owned two '5-port LMLs a Chetak (one sold but the remaining two are grooving to Uncle Sing but Akshay's dad still doesn't know of the mod. we're hoping to get a genuine testimonial of the effect of Somendra Singh's Grooved Heads, without running into the Uncertainity priniciple. His grandfather taught automobile engineering and I personally found a 20-year old enthusiast.
Praveen Sarthe (Yezdi @Yahoo Groups Oldie), Sumit (bikenomads- i think, and Akshay the wunderkid whose jasmine has been unofficially dubbed the 'Rustking.' For 3.5, he got a double clutch chain, steering head tensioner and a fully functional rolling stock chassis and a running (in one day) engine.

Abhijith's Blog...

I dunno what to say, he

had to let go - guess bikes and pets are lower on life's list of priorities than people and it is jusually oir folkies who tune us into that fact.

Love the guy!

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again,
And I can't wait to get on the road again.

On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again

On the road again

Trailers for sale or rentRooms to let 50 cents,
No phone, no pool, no pets
I ain’t got no cigarettes

Now two hours of pushing broom
Buys an eight-by-twelve four bit room
I’m a man of means by no means
King of the road

Third box-car midnight train
Destination Bangor, Maine
Old worn out suit and shoes
I don’t pay no union dues

I know every engineer on every train
All of their children and all of their names
And every lock that ain't locked
When no one's around

I smoke old stogies I have found
Short but not too big around
I'm a Man of means by no means
King of the road

Some Things to Think About While I Write My Review of Uncle Sings Groovy Mod Heads

BSAs Made in India and CZs sold as Indians in America

For all you monohockers (intentional) out there, India's first production mono-shock rear-ended bike was the BSA Falcon. Another variant called the BSA Bond, I believe, had conventional twin rear shock absorbers.

From what i gophered (wish I could still say 'gleaned' but in this day and age, they have forgotten the cube), this was some sort of a tea manufacturing company's foray into motorcycles.
BSA (UK) closed shop in the late 70s but the name was still licenced out to others. This particular beesah was powered by a 50cc Minarelli engine.
Quite the done thing, look at what Jawa (Czech.) did!
They were probably The World's Smallest Indian. (Ref2AnthonyHopkinsmovie The World's Fastest Indian)

Slight-Turkish Delight

Mario Mager clicked these pix of the 'Indian Jawa' while shopping for parts for his own Jawa restoration.

Notice the different (from the Indian bikes) monograms on the tank, the Yezdi Classic body & frame and the Roadking engines!

For the actual article where I came across this pic.
It's a nice read called Turkish Delight
